Bridges to Resilience Conference

November 4, 2024

The annual Bridges to Resilience conference is a celebration of community that strengthens collaboration throughout California’s coastal tri-counties.  Since 2016, the conference has focused on increasing awareness about the widespread impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the hopeful strategies that build resilience within families, communities, and systems of care. Each year, participants from Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties engage in an interactive and dynamic day of education, resource sharing and connection.

The theme for 2024 is Hope, Inclusion, and Wellbeing.  Building on last year’s keynote about Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences, this year’s sessions will take a deeper look at inclusion and belonging, pathways to healing, and strategies for disrupting adversity and preventing intergenerational trauma.

Bridges to Resilience 2024 returns to an in-person format and will include simultaneous interpretation of keynote sessions in both Spanish and Mixteco.  For the first time, Spanish language breakout sessions will also be offered.  Please join your colleagues at the beautiful Hilton Beachfront Resort, where we will welcome community leaders, community organizers, and community care providers from human services, healthcare, education, justice, behavioral health, philanthropy, and the faith community.

About

Our Bridges to Resilience Collaborative

The Bridges to Resilience conference is the most recognized conference in California’s coastal tri-counties, focused on educating and increasing awareness about the widespread impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and providing hopeful strategies to build resilience within our communities and systems of care.

The annual conference inspired a regional learning community that provides both virtual and in-person learning and networking to raise awareness about and engagement with resources that can help to prevent, treat and heal the harmful consequences of ACEs and toxic stress.

KIDS Network and the Bridges conference gave rise to the growing ACEs initiative known as Resilient Santa Barbara County. KIDS Network leads a collaborative tri-county planning process to engage new partners and strengthen care networks in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties. The three neighboring counties have a long history of regional partnership. The Coastal Tri-Counties Child Abuse Prevention Coalition (CTC-CAPC) and multidisciplinary prevention teams from each county offer a base from which to build cross-sector relationships that link, lift and leverage child and family well being initiatives.
